For me, summertime is about BBQ’s, picnics, fireworks, parades, and making memories with family and friends. The 4th of July is almost here, so, to celebrate, I created this easy and festive patriotic themed charcuterie board to encompass the summer spirit.

A traditional charcuterie board would consist of meats, cheeses, condiments, crackers, breads and some additional garnishes. I have a blog post on a more traditional charcuterie board here.

Charcuterie Board Assembly
There is no correct way to make your board, just have fun and be creative with it! Once you have all of your materials and treats, it’s time to start putting together your charcuterie layout.
For a longer setup, I like to first place my ramekins randomly across the board and begin filling the spaces between, working my way down from one end to the other.
For a round board, I like to work around the perimeter and make my way into the middle, placing the ramekins around the edges or one larger bowl in the center.
The most important thing to remember is that nothing in your spread is permanent, so, if you don’t end up liking the way your board is looking, you can always move things around. One tip I have is to keep similar items separate so you don’t have all of the candy on one side and all the fruit on the other. It is really all about working your way through to fill up any empty space to ensure you have a full and vibrant charcuterie board to share with your eager guests!
In case you still need something to wear for the celebrations, I got you covered.
Happy 4th Of July! Have Fun and Stay Safe!
